Kyle Justice Story

Thanks for coming to learn more about my background and passion for what I do every day.  Below is a brief history of my career and the projects I have worked on.  I hope to connect with you either in person, at an event, over the phone or on a video call.

My Story

I am the founder and owner of Compel Media, which I established and have operated since 1999. I'm an Emmy-nominated producer and director.  I have created hundreds of hours of documentaries and television programming for leading networks and platforms, including ESPN, National Geographic, The Outdoor Channel, Fox Sports, Comcast SportsNet, AnswersTV, AwesomeSciTV, and the Action Sports Cable Network. My body of work spans a wide range of topics—from science, nature, and ecology...to freedom, faith, and liberty.

My father's hobby was filmmaking.  At eleven years old, my twin brother and I were inspired by the early Star Wars movies and began using our father's gear to produce our own animations and TV shows.  Growing up in Portland, Oregon provided us a high school that had a full television studio and editing equipment.  We plugged in and were very active, gaining a near college-level education in television production.  We were even featured on PM Magazine for our work at the high school.

Before launching Compel Media, I oversaw the production studios at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, served as syndication coordinator for Mary Tyler Moore Entertainment, and acted as a producer for International Family Entertainment / The Family Channel.  Right before starting Compel Media, I worked at Downstream Editorial, the largest post-production house in Portland, Oregon which serviced clients such as Nike, The Widen & Kennedy Agency, Will Vinton Studios, Tyee (creator of national brand infomercials), the CW Network, and Columbia Sportswear.

In 2010, after a decade of serving commercial and corporate clients, I began producing children's programs and documentaries focused on science from a Biblical worldview.  Eventually, I established a new division/brand of my company called Awesome Science Media.  ASM content has been distributed around the world on VOD platforms and broadcast outlets.  Most recently, I produced three seasons of Kasthan's Wildlife in the Zoo for Answers in Genesis and their AnswersTV VOD platform.  This series won Best TV Show at the 2025 International Christian Film Festival.

It has been my goal for years to produce original and compelling media in film, TV shows, and documentaries.  My desire is to produce content that motivates viewers to live beyond themselves into a bigger vision of living for their Creator.  I have branded this division of my company, Compel StudiosBy Dawn's Early Light is the beginning project of Compel Studios.

Over the years, I have been blessed to produce corporate videos for many Fortune 500 companies such as Broadcom, HP, Cisco, and Nike.  My corporate work continues as my company's branches of ASM and Compel Studios continue to grow.

I am currently developing a new crowdfunded docudrama film and TV series about the early history of the United State called The Founders.  In addition, I is developing a new TV series called, The Fight for Liberty, focusing on the modern-day freedom fighters who are standing for liberty across the world.  Other projects and series include Stewarding Creation, Liberty Falls, and Men of Science.

I am deeply committed to America's founding ideals and passionate about the cause of liberty—especially the belief that our rights are given by our Creator, not man.  I love to tell compelling stories and share documentaries and kids programming from a Biblical worldview.
